Success or failure of plastic surgery procedures relies on cosmetic results. Understanding the objective perception of favorable aesthetic results is critical to ensure patient satisfaction.
The aim of this study was to develop and validate a new facial rating scale that could objectively assess face- and neck-lift outcomes: the Face- and Neck-Lift Objective Photo-Numerical Assessment Scale.
One thousand White patients were included in the authors’ study and assessed. To validate the authors’ scale, the interrater reliability and the test-retest reliability were analyzed.
The Rasch model was used as part of the scale validation process.
